About the Role
As our Human Resources Generalist, you will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment. This role supports day-to-day operations, team performance, and service standards, acting as a bridge between leadership and frontline teams to drive accountability, engagement, and results.
Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth, efficient operations aligned with brand standards and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Deliver exceptional service rooted in passion for hospitality, anticipating needs and responding with a solutions-first mindset.
- Work collaboratively across teams to achieve shared goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Follow all company policies, safety standards, and procedures while maintaining accuracy in processes, reporting, and documentation.
- Coordinate job postings, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and assist in onboarding, including new hire orientation and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized recruitment and personnel records.
- Act as a resource for employee questions and concerns, supporting the Senior HR Manager in handling employee relations issues and investigations.
- Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures in a unionized environment.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and maintain communication boards with internal hotel information and labor law postings.
- Support training initiatives by coordinating logistics and tracking employee participation.
- Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to obtain, review, and enter payroll data, and assist with maintaining HRIS records and employee documentation.
- Ensure HR documentation complies with labor laws and hotel policies, maintaining personnel files and HR records in accordance with legal and confidentiality standards.
- Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment coordination, and the administration of Workers Compensation, Unemployment Claims, and Leave of Absence coordination.
- Complete monthly administrative activities such as the hotel newsletter, birthday card preparation, and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a solutions-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience with Payroll systems (Paycom) and Applicant Tracking Systems (Workable) is helpful.
- Working knowledge of Equifax, E-Verify, Workable-ATS, and Paycom-HRIS is helpful.
- 2+ years of HR experience, preferably in hospitality or a unionized environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of HR laws, practices, and Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Pay
Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $35.00
