Human Resources Generalist
Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting and advancing the human capital strategy within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for managing a broad range of HR functions including compliance, talent acquisition, payroll, employee engagement, and benefits administration to ensure a productive and legally compliant workplace. The role requires partnering closely with leadership and employees to foster a positive organizational culture that aligns business objectives and promotes employee engagement. The HR Generalist will lead initiatives that enhance workforce planning and retention strategies, contributing directly to the company's operational success. Ultimately, this position serves as a trusted advisor and resource for all HR-related matters, driving continuous improvement in HR processes and employee satisfaction across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first and main point of contact for our workforce on HR-related matters and while maintaining confidentiality.
- Lead and execute full-cycle recruitment, including posting, screening, interviewing, orientation, and onboarding.
- Own end-to-end weekly payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees and answer questions related to it.
- Administer all benefits programs and assist employees with questions and enrollments.
- Lead annual open enrollment.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records.
- Support employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts and promoting a positive work culture. Escalating to Director when necessary.
- Demonstrate safety as a core value by actively executing safe work.
- Provide support and assistance with leave requests and accommodations.
- Assist with HR reporting and compliance audits.
- Support the execution of various HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a champion for all company policy enforcement and alignment in collaboration with managers and HR Director.
- Lead employee engagement, employee recognition, events, and surveys.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration.
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including talent acquisition, payroll, and federal and state employment laws.
- Safety minded and willing to work in an industrial environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of the organization.
- Payroll and recruiting experience.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish highly preferred.
- Experience with Paycor preferred.
- Excellent time management skills.
