Human Resources Generalist
About the role
Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a HR Generalist based in Nampa, Idaho.
Responsibilities
- Aid in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Draft and distribute internal HR communications and announcements.
- May facilitate new employee orientation and all aspects of the new hire process, including processing onboarding paperwork, I-9s and background screens.
- May coordinate and conduct new hire-check ins, stay interviews, and exit interviews - track feedback, and report findings.
- May be responsible for LOA and Benefits administration.
- May process and maintain payroll and timekeeping records on a weekly basis.
- May assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, and direct sourcing for prospects.
- Perform and maintain accurate HR Programs reporting and tracking, as well as business and regulatory reporting.
- May assist with compliance training, ensuring the site achieves 100% training completion.
- Participate in HR initiatives and special projects.
- Manage the Lactalis American Group Intern program.
- Provide assistance in project analyses and follow-through to complete on time and with accuracy.
- Serve as an employee resource. Answer questions and address or escalate issues. Refer to employee handbook, clarifying policies. Partner with HR Manager on documentation and closing out issues.
- Generate HR reports and conduct audits. Maintain employee records.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed, preparing materials, and maintaining HR systems.
- Actively walk the floor/office and engage with employees
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred. A major in a related Human Resources or Business is preferred.
- Experience: 4+ years Human Resource experience is required.
- Competencies: Emotional intelligence, Planning & Organizing, Strategic thinking, HR – Functional area information systems knowledge and maintenance, HR – KPI Management and reporting, HR – Internal communications, Business acumen, Labor Law
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of HR systems and compliance regulations.
