About the Role

This role serves as a site leader for HR policies, practices, and programs, partnering with site leadership to provide guidance on employee-related matters and fostering a family-centric, people-focused culture.

Responsibilities

  • Promote company Core Values and HR policies to foster a conflict-free, people-centric workplace.
  • Provide guidance and support to site leadership on policy and employee-related matters, including corrective action.
  • Assist with site transfer requests and conduct benefits meetings, presentations, and open enrollment events.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation for designated sites, ensuring completion of I-9 and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and promote engagement and retention.
  • Develop and implement ongoing training and development programs aligned with career paths and business needs.
  • Support employees with HR-related questions and issues, and conduct site investigations as needed.
  • Drive leadership development through coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance performance management.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to implement annual engagement plans and associated budgets.
  • Gather and analyze employment data to improve HR execution.
  • Conduct site training for annual self-evaluations, peer reviews, and performance review processes.
  • Support new hire 30-, 60-, and 90-day performance feedback meetings.
  • Upload employee information and records to the HRIS in compliance with policies and labor laws.
  • Resolve issues promptly, apply motivational strategies, and organize team-building activities to enhance job satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations.
  • Demonstrate relationship management skills and effective consultation strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities aligned with corporate strategic goals.
  • Participate in site leadership meetings to provide HR updates and initiatives.
  • Provide requested reporting, such as active company drivers, to site leadership.
  • Facilitate leave requests, administer compliance paperwork, and maintain accurate tracking information.
  • Follow up with employees and managers as needed.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or similar study.
  • 7+ years of Human Resource experience in progressively responsible roles will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • PHR (Professional Human Resources) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience administering HR policies in an industrial or manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing, and collaborative skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Practical understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of employment and labor laws.
  • Tactful, professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, and external parties.
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational, record-keeping, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Self-starter who takes action when issues, gaps, or opportunities are identified.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities under time pressure.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player with excellent work ethics.
  • Strategic planning skills.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, XMind, etc.).

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level is usually moderate. This role requires:

  • Sitting, use of hands and arms, and verbal communication.
  • Occasional physical movement such as stooping or kneeling.
  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly carrying and climbing ladders up to 20 feet.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required.
  • Working in tight and confined spaces.
