Overview

The Human Resources Generalist supports HR business partners for a defined operating region or functional business group. This role reports to the global or regional HR lead and interacts with various stakeholders including internal Operations & Function Managers, Professional Staff, Craft Employees, and external Clients, Customers, and Technical/Professional Advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Handles full-cycle recruiting for skilled labor and craft positions
  • Provides HR Business Partner advice (consulting and coaching)
  • Manages general human resources including policy development, administration, and compliance
  • Supports the employee lifecycle from hiring to termination, including onboarding and offboarding
  • Supports employee relations and resolves employee concerns
  • Coordinates rewards programs and administers domestic employee mobility
  • Supports organizational training and development initiatives
  • Advise on labor relations, union and collective bargaining, and industrial agreements
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and employment laws
  • Produces and analyzes HR reports, making recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Supports workforce planning activities, including forecast histograms and staffing plans

Qualifications

  • Project site or construction craft HR experience required
  • 3-5 years of relevant HR experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent years of experience
  • Proven knowledge of Labor and Employment Laws for area of remit
  • SHRM or other HR professional certification preferred
  • Experience in onboarding and delivering of training
  • Experience and knowledge of the EPC industry preferred
  • Proficient computer skills - HRIS databases and MS Office
