Human Resources Generalist
About the role
This role partners with the Manager of Human Resources to manage all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The Human Resources Generalist will support leadership in fostering a culture of engagement, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates.
- Manage onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, issues, and concerns.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Implement and manage performance appraisal processes, coaching managers on performance improvement plans, goal setting, and employee development.
- Identify training needs and facilitate programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
- Coordinate leadership development initiatives and succession planning.
- Support compensation programs, including salary reviews and benefits enrollment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Monitor key HR metrics such as turnover, employee engagement, and performance; provide reports and analysis to management for informed decision-making.
- Lead or participate in HR initiatives and projects aimed at improving HR processes, enhancing employee engagement, and driving organizational change.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and regulations.
- Experience in employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and talent development.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience supporting employees in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Pay
Salary range: $75,000 – $100,000 USD (salaried). The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market/business considerations, and geographic location.
