About the role

Northrop Grumman Corporate Office is seeking a Human Resources Director supporting Business Management and our Legal & Contracts organization. The HR Director serves as a strategic business partner providing day-to-day support to the CO Executive Leadership Team (ELT) functional team members and other corporate leaders in accomplishment of business objectives.

The primary function of the role is to be a strategic partner and consultant to the business to ensure we have a human capital strategy in place to attract, engage, develop, and retain the talent necessary to meet the strategic goals of the business for today and for the future.

The selected candidate will lead a team of HR business partners responsible for executing the HR strategy and will lead human capital programs and core processes including talent acquisition, talent assessment and development, performance management, employee relations, total rewards, succession planning and talent pipeline development, organization effectiveness, and leadership development.

The person in this role is responsible for leading enterprise-wide transformative projects and initiatives requiring strategic thought leadership, organizational and project management skills in a high-paced environment, ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, strong business acumen, and problem-solving capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required plus a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HR OR Master’s degree and 8 years of progressive experience in HR
  • Experience across multiple HR disciplines
  • Experience leading HR teams
  • Experience designing and leading change management efforts
  • Experience designing and implementing human capital strategies aligned to business strategy, with clear business outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others at all levels
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability and resilience; able to change course when needed and operate in an ambiguous environment
  • Previous experience developing and implementing organization effectiveness strategies and approaches, implementing organization design and/or organization transformations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Aerospace & Defense
  • Experience leading a team as a Human Resources Director responsible for multiple HR disciplines
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and technology (e.g., Workday)
  • Experience working in a matrix environment

Pay

Primary level salary range: $185,400.00 - $278,200.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
