Human Resources Director

Job Description

The Human Resources Director oversees all aspects of HR practices and processes within the organization. As the primary contact for employee-related matters, this role plays a crucial part in ensuring business success by fostering a productive, positive, and compliant work environment.

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business goals
• Serve as a bridge between management and employees, addressing grievances and other concerns
• Lead the recruitment and selection process
• Support current and future business needs by developing and retaining talent
• Monitor and manage HR strategies, systems, and procedures across the organization
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
• Oversee performance management systems that encourage high-performance
• Maintain compensation plans and benefits programs
• Identify and address training needs; manage training programs
• Provide management with HR metrics and decision support
• Ensure legal compliance across all HR functions

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HR Director or a similar HR leadership role in a skilled nursing setting
• Ideal candidate would have union experience
• Experience in processing payroll preferred
• Strong people orientation with a results-driven approach
• Demonstrated experience with HR metrics and data-driven decision-making
• Proficiency in HR systems and databases
• Strategic thinking combined with strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Ability to build and manage relationships at all organizational levels
• Deep knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
• A degree in Human Resources or a related field
