About the role

The Human Resources Coordinator ensures that all people processes—from onboarding to offboarding—are executed tactically, practically, autonomously, and timely. This role manages the full employee lifecycle, including selection, onboarding, performance management, and contributes to strengthening organizational climate and culture, incorporating principles of Choice Theory. The position is execution- and data-oriented: extracting, building, and analyzing indicators independently, questioning trends, and proposing and implementing actions with sound judgment. Additionally, the role ensures regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of recruitment for teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Organize and ensure onboarding and the full employee lifecycle processes.
  • Manage People Analytics data and provide functional support for SuccessFactors.
  • Execute climate and culture initiatives while ensuring HR process compliance.
  • Provide operational support to leaders in people management and HR initiatives.
  • Receive, analyze, and resolve daily queries regarding policies, processes, and employee situations.
  • Convert HR priorities into actionable plans, timelines, communications, and tasks; assign responsibilities and close pending items.
  • Prepare practical alternatives and escalate sensitive, complex, or high-impact cases to the Head of HR.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for teaching and non-teaching staff: profile definition, job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, assessments, reference checks, and finalist presentations.
  • Maintain up-to-date status of each vacancy and communicate progress and decisions promptly to leaders and candidates.
  • Provide the Senior Payroll and Personnel Administration Analyst with complete candidate information and documentation for formal onboarding.
  • Coordinate with the Occupational Health and Well-being Coordinator for support during hiring peaks or absence periods.
  • Organize, coordinate, and ensure the onboarding process, including onboarding plans, checklists, agendas, leaders, support areas, resources, communications, and general induction.
  • Verify completion of all onboarding activities and follow up with new hires during their first weeks.
  • Monitor probation periods with hiring managers, request evaluations, coordinate feedback, and document agreements.
  • Conduct exit interviews and identify key reasons for employee turnover.
  • Coordinate the offboarding process with leaders, the Senior Payroll and Personnel Administration Analyst, IT, and other involved areas.
  • Support labor relations and performance management processes.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for labor cases, ensuring consistency with current regulations and institutional procedures.
  • Support the performance evaluation process, assist leaders, and monitor progress and closure.
  • Support individual improvement plans and document follow-ups for associated service areas.
  • Extract, clean, and build HR indicators for turnover, absenteeism, climate, and selection processes.
  • Analyze trends, formulate hypotheses, and propose concrete actions beyond reporting figures.
  • Ensure the HR area has reliable, up-to-date, and useful information for decision-making.
  • Serve as the functional point of contact for SuccessFactors, test configurations, resolve user issues, and generate reports.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Payroll and Personnel Administration Analyst to ensure data quality and consistency of master data and employee records.
  • Monitor engagement surveys, analyze results by area, and follow up on action plans.
  • Promote institutional culture and Choice Theory principles in daily interactions with leaders and employees.
  • Update HR policies, procedures, formats, and regulatory documents.
  • Stay updated on Colombian labor regulations and translate changes into concrete actions or adjustments for the HR area.
  • Ensure documents related to processes and employee experience are archived completely, correctly, and timely.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or related fields.
  • Desirable: Postgraduate degree (specialization or master's) in Human Management, Human Resources, or related areas.
  • 4 to 8 years of professional experience, with proven experience as an HR generalist or HRBP.
  • Experience with matrix or regional reporting, ideally in multi-site or international organizations.
  • Experience in extracting, building, and analyzing HR indicators (not just reading pre-made reports).
  • Solid knowledge of current Colombian labor regulations, with a genuine interest in the subject.

Skills

  • Organization, judgment, confidentiality, service orientation, analytical ability, and rigorous follow-through to closure.
  • Hands-on profile with a willingness to engage directly in day-to-day operations.
  • Highly data-driven: ability to extract, build, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: executes with judgment, investigates the "why" behind things, and proposes improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine enjoyment of building relationships; high capacity for influence and trust-building across organizational levels.
  • Creativity to support innovative and high-quality practices in recruitment, onboarding, and/or performance management.
  • Strong orientation toward teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Openness to giving and receiving constructive, continuous feedback.
  • High results orientation, with data- and indicator-driven management capabilities.
  • Assertive communication, active listening, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced English level (B2+ / C1), both oral and written.

Cultural Fit Behaviors

  • Humble and compassionate: demonstrates humility, empathy, and trust in relationships.
  • Embraces and fosters change, constantly learning and evolving.
  • Genuine learner: seeks to stay updated, with energy to learn from their field and others that enrich their work.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: takes initiative to create and improve ideas, approaches, and practices.
  • Excellent communicator: speaks their mind, delivers hard truths, and makes tough decisions in a caring and collaborative manner.
  • Analytical in providing viewpoints.
