Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates and assists with human resources activities related to personnel administration and organizational management.
- Supports day-to-day Human Resources operations, including answering the main HR telephone line; opening, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and HR-related documents.
- Responds to employment verifications, PSLF certifications, requests from the Legal Office, including FOIA inquiries and subpoenas, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for HR copier support and related troubleshooting needs.
- Maintains employee records and personnel files to ensure accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable policies and recordkeeping requirements.
- Serves as the primary contact for HR records management, organizing, archiving, retaining, and disposing of HR records according to established guidelines and retention schedules.
- Retrieves and files personnel documents as needed to support HR operations, audits, and information requests.
- Captures and distributes new employee orientation materials, provides information on organizational policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace expectations, and ensures completion of all required employment documentation.
- Assists with HR data entry and personnel transactions, including the accurate and timely processing of salary actions and other employee-related updates within the SCEIS System.
- Reviews and keys EPMS documents to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and deadlines.
- Provides administrative and programmatic support across multiple Human Resources functional areas to ensure efficient and effective HR operations.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree and relevant human resources experience.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration; detail oriented; strong organizational skills and computer skills; and effective communication skills.
