Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of related experience
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills to manage relationships
  • Must be able to discreetly handle confidential information and data

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding of employees including employee orientation and training
  • Ensure that proper new hire paperwork has been completed, including I9 documentation and certifications
  • Review safety management implementation and assist with best practice delivery
  • Review and maintain employee records and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Provide copies of records as appropriate for employees when requested
  • Serve as HR liaison and communication route between field and state offices
  • Set up and maintain confidential, sensitive files and records, ensuring efficient retrieval of information
  • Ensure all necessary information is maintained in the employee personnel record
  • Recruit employees by posting employment ads on the company website, external websites, in newspapers, and through college career services to attract qualified applicants
  • Conduct and maintain file of background check results on applicants and perform registry and license verification checks
  • Aid with paperwork required for job and salary changes, R&R bonuses, and LOA
  • Aid with communications on open enrollment and respond to general questions from employees about pay and benefits, referring questions to the Benefits Information Center as appropriate
  • Refer employee relations issues to HR Business Partner and keep immediate supervisor informed as appropriate
  • Aid with performance review process as needed
  • Comply with HR policies and practices, referring questions to immediate supervisor
  • Aid management in developing new databases for tracking and recording events/programs
  • Produce reports as needed
