Human Resources Coordinator

About the role

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join their Joplin team. This role supports the hiring and onboarding process, ensuring new employees feel welcomed and prepared.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify new hire paperwork and maintain accurate employee records
• Complete background checks and required screenings for new hires
• Lead and coordinate weekly orientation for new team members
• Provide daily administrative HR support including data entry, filing, and documentation
• Serve as a point of contact for employees with general HR questions
• Support the HR team with special projects and administrative tasks
• Help create a professional and welcoming experience for all new employees

Requirements

• Previous HR or administrative experience preferred
• Minimum of one year of HR, recruiting, or office support experience helpful
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfort working with Microsoft Office and computer systems
• Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Qualifications

• SHRM CP or PHR certification is a plus but not required
• Home care or healthcare experience is helpful but not required
