About the role

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the HR department, supporting various functions related to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and administrative tasks. They are responsible for facilitating HR processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the recruitment process by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating pre-employment requirements such as background checks, reference checks, and offer letters.
  • Onboard new hires by conducting orientation sessions, preparing paperwork, and enhancing the overall new-hire experience.
  • Cook offboarding process, including exit paperwork, documentation, and related administrative tasks.
  • Aid with career fair administration, which may require occasional on-site attendance.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Manage HR documentation such as contracts, policies, and procedures, and generate reports and metrics as needed.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Aid with employee engagement initiatives, activities, and events that support a positive workplace culture.
  • Stay current on labor laws and regulations, ensuring HR processes align with compliance requirements.
  • Support the HR team with training program coordination, employee development tracking, and other special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR support or administrative role (HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of HR functions, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paycom, or similar).
  • Proficiency in AI-powered tools and platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Midjourney, Copilot); ability to leverage AI to enhance content creation, campaign optimization, and workflow efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Skills

  • Familiarity with AI tools and a willingness to learn and apply them across HR tasks.
  • Specific ways you've used AI to work more efficiently, such as in recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, documentation, or responding to employee inquiries.
  • Examples of AI tools or workflows you've introduced or suggested that helped your team save time or improve accuracy.

Pay

$45,000 – $55,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Eligible for annual company bonus program or commission incentive based on role.
