Job Summary

BIOCHEM, MOLECULAR BIO, & PHAR (IN-BMBP-IUINA) is searching for a Human Resources Coordinator to support employees and organizational success. The coordinator will assist with recruitment, employee records management, policy guidance, and HR compliance initiatives, working closely with managers and employees.

General Responsibilities

  • Captures, processes, verifies, and maintains academic and/or staff HR related work, which may include but not limited to: recruitment, training, benefits, employee relations, tenure, performance evaluations, classifications, I-9s, and employee leaves of absences.
  • Researches and analyzes academic and/or staff HR related topics to help assist in resolving issues and/or creating solutions.
  • Creates, compiles, prepares, and analyzes reports and documents for academic and/or staff HR related activities.
  • Performs and may coordinate data entry for processing transactions and maintaining and keeping information current for candidates, employees and/or retirees on a variety of academic and/or staff HR issues.
  • Provides administrative and related support to other academic and/or staff HR staff.
  • Supports and maintains academic and/or staff HR programs and events; maintains up-to-date records of actions, decisions, and time frames.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and documents.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).
  • Experience: 3 years of HR related experience plus advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Skills: Demonstrates customer service skills, effective interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple priorities, friendly and service-oriented, highly thorough and dependable, demonstrates written communication skills, experience with HRIS, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize conflicting assignments and maintain focus on project completion.

Working Conditions / Demands

  • The role requires the ability to effectively communicate and operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment.
  • The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
  • The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Work Hours

This position is eligible for remote work or to work a hybrid schedule (mix between 2 days remote and 3 days in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.

In person work is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
