About the role

Human Resources Administration (In-HR-IUINA) at Indiana University (IU) Indianapolis Campus. The role is part of the larger IU HR community, aiming to be a trusted resource, strategic partner, leader, and innovator supporting the university's mission.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Maintains files and records
  • Provides administrative support
  • Data support and processing transactions
  • Directs questions to the right parties
  • Liaison between HR team, employees, departments, and external customers
  • Ensures smooth functioning of HR processes
  • Supports recruitment, employee onboarding, record maintenance, and compliance with university policies and procedures
  • Handles some level of emerging exempt HR responsibilities
  • May lead or oversee hourly staff or lower-level appointed staff
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to intermediate level coordinators

General Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, processes, verifies, and maintains academic and/or staff HR related work
  • Researches and analyzes academic and/or staff HR related topics
  • Creates, compiles, prepares, and analyzes reports and documents
  • Performs and may coordinate data entry for processing transactions and maintaining information
  • Supports and maintains academic and/or staff HR programs and events
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and documents

Education and Experience

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Work Experience: 3 years of HR related experience plus advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite products

Pay

$45,000.00 - $48,500.00 per year

Schedule

Sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
