Responsibilities

  • Provide essential administrative, operational, and recruitment support to the Human Resources Department.
  • Ensure smooth daily workflow and maintain accurate records.
  • Support compliance activities and assist HR staff with clerical and transactional tasks.
  • Support Talent Acquisition processes, including recruitment coordination.
  • Contribute to departmental communication and organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma; some college preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: Six months to one year of experience as an HR Coordinator or in an HR Specialist role (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, HRIS, Training & Development, Recruitment).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation (e.g., EEOC, ADA, Civil Rights Title VII, OSHA) is helpful.

Working Conditions

  • Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated, or ventilated facility. No routine exposure to hazards.
  • Physical Demands: Demonstrates full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Requires visual and aural acuity, finger and hand dexterity to operate computers and office equipment. Ability to withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and/or constant walking. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, work well under pressure, organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Requires critical thinking, analytical skills, and flexibility. Ability to multi-task and maintain detailed attention in an environment with interruptions. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.
  • May be subject to irregular hours, including evenings or weekends, to participate in operational and community events as necessary.

Pay

The hourly range for this role is $17.57–$21.96. The range provided complies with New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements and does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits. Compensation is determined based on factors such as location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget, and internal equity.
