About the role
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the employee life cycle, including onboarding, changes, terminations, HRIS accuracy, and compliance with laws.
Responsibilities
- Processes personnel transactions throughout the employee lifecycle, including employee changes and terminations
- Captures onboarding activities, ensuring a smooth new hire experience
- Ensures completion of self-service onboarding and enrollment requirements
- Accurately enters and maintains employee data within internal and external HR systems
- Serves as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries, responding promptly and resolving issues or escalating appropriately
- Ensures compliance with Form I-9 employment eligibility verification requirements
- Processes and tracks HR-related billing, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Administers employee recognition and new parent programs, coordinating, tracking, and communicating
- Maintains employee records securely, confidentially, and in compliance with regulations
- Supports employee offboarding by processing terminations, coordinating required documentation, and updating systems
- Responds to employment verification and reference requests in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements
- 2-4 years of previous experience as a HR Coordinator or related role
- High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business preferred
- PHR/SHRM certification preferred
Qualifications
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing workload, multitasking, completing high volumes of transactions accurately, and excellent follow-up and organizational skills
- Ability to recognize outliers and potential personnel issues and bring them to management’s attention
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Human Resources Information systems preferred
