Responsibilities
- Supports the Director of People and Culture with various aspects of employee lifecycle, including recruitment, record keeping, performance and compliance.
- Provides administrative support to human resources efforts, such as employee/client records management, local recruiting initiatives, onboarding, payroll support, and facilitating new employee orientation.
- Scans, uploads, and files personnel documents.
- Assists applicants with the hiring process and ensures completion of each step in the hiring process (pre-employment screening, interviewing, job offer, reference checks, screenings).
- Coordinates and implements policies and practices in the areas of training, performance management, compensation, updating job descriptions, and effective recruitment and selection strategies.
- Aids in the onboarding, housing, and acclimation of H2B employees.
- Aids in and may initiate employee recognition and engagement activities.
- Aids with benefits enrollment, claims, and answering questions related to benefit plans.
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous human resources experience, preferably in Hospitality.
- One to two years of office administration or Human Resources experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Technology proficiency, with bonus points for experience with Paycom and other HRIS platforms.
- Strong technical skills including intermediate or above experience level in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective Time Management Ability to manage confidential information and records.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain positive interaction with employees and Members.
- Detail oriented – communication and documentation of interactions with applicants and employees.
- High school diploma or GED; some college coursework or Associates degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stands, walks, uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, talks or hears, tastes or smells.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
- Sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.
- Works in a noisy environment.
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with experience.
