About the role

The Human Resources Coordinator will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including leaves, maintaining of employee records, assisting with enforcing company policies and practices, benefits, hiring and interviewing/staffing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily HR functions
  • Coordinating, preparing, tracking and filing all associates varies Leaves.
  • Daily follow-up from the Daily Call Out Chat regarding No Shows and attendance/medical matters.
  • Aid with Employee Verifications for current and terminated associates.
  • Aid in ensuring the information in the HRIS platform is accurate.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation. Handbook reviews to ensure policies are updated and posted on the Employee Portal.
  • Maintain the I-9 documents and enter new hires into E-Verify system.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Aid in coordinating HR Surveys.
  • Prepare WC Claims and work with Safety Manager to conduct investigations and manage return associates to work.
  • Aid in coordination of special events for employees and the company i.e.: company potlucks, retirements, anniversaries, Wellness and Safety functions.
  • Communicate blasts to associates.
  • Coordinating Special Committees i.e.: Employee of the Month Committee.
  • Handle additional duties as the position evolves or as assigned.

Benefit Support

Orientating associates regarding the benefit enrollment and related information. Assist with preparing benefit communication and processes for Open Enrollment.

Staffing and On-Boarding Support

  • Aiding with interviewing and testing.
  • Aiding with setting up for new hire orientation.
  • Aiding with entry of temp hires in the Timekeeping system.
  • Aiding with ensuring new temps find their work area on their first day.

Qualifications

  • Five years of performing Human Resources related responsibilities, preferably in a Manufacturing environment.
  • High school graduate, and PHR preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of all the HR Principle, laws, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to create and implement policies or practices as the laws and business initiatives evolve.
  • Proactive with developing strategies to support the organizations initiatives.
  • Exceptional Interpersonal and Communication skills (Written and Verbal).
  • Experience working with a HRIS platform.
  • Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office Products. (Word, Excel and Power Point).
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • This position is categorized as Safety Sensitive.
