About the Role
This Student Co-op position supports Human Resources activities at Nexteer Automotive in Saginaw, MI. The program aims to provide students with "real world" work experiences, exposing them to the company’s products, processes, and procedures while assimilating classroom education with hands-on work in a technical environment. Responsibilities
- Check weekly attendance reports and disperse notices as necessary.
- Handle forms such as jury duty and bereavement, ensuring completion, filing copies, and submitting to payroll.
- Assist in scheduling training for New Supervisors with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Assist in the scheduling and tracking of both Supervisor and Team Leader NPS assessments.
- Check in grievances, submit disciplines, and file performance evaluations with the Hourly HR Office.
- Support the HR team in interviews and new hire orientations.
Requirements
- Must be attending a 2-year college or 4-year university local to Saginaw.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Must be able to work 20-32 hours during Fall and Winter semesters (up to 40 hours in the summer).
- Must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters.
- Must have an interest in Human Resources.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Products (Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Must have excellent communication, documentation skills, and attention to detail.
