Overview

Bombardier promotes flexible and hybrid work policies. The role is located at Bombardier’s Tucson site and reports to the Manager Human Resources. Key responsibilities include implementing core HR processes such as recruitment, compensation, employee relations, labor relations, training, and performance management. The role also involves managing employee relations cases, recommending process improvements, monitoring metrics, and collaborating on various initiatives.

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Adhere to Bombardier General Work Rules
  • Implement core HR processes for the assigned business unit
  • Provide HR Support for all employees including represented and non-represented
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for strategies to recruit and retain employees
  • Manage Employee Relations cases with the collaboration of the Leadership
  • Recommend and implement process improvements
  • Maintain and drive collaborative relationships with internal partners
  • Collaborate on New Employee Orientation and out-processing activities
  • Partner with the Ethics team to ensure investigations and recommended actions are completed in a timely manner
  • Research and respond to questions from employees, managers, and directors regarding Human Resource programs, policies, and procedures
  • Recruit and select qualified job candidates in a timely and cost-efficient manner
  • Coach, consult, and collaborate with clients to help them meet their business and human capital objectives
  • Make recommendations up to director level for compensation related items including salary offers and adjustments
  • Participate fully as part of business unit leadership team

  • 5+ years professional and progressive experience with a Bachelor’s degree in related field or 7+ years professional and progressive experience in related field
  • Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management, and contractors
  • Recruiting, hiring, and interviewing experience required
  • Basic knowledge of Employment Law
  • Thorough knowledge of HR processes, Recruitment, compensation, Benefits, and Performance Management
  • Versatile communication skills
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to plan, prioritize, and coordinate workload within a multiple project setting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 7+ years professional and progressive experience in related field
