About the Role
We are seeking an HR Partner to manage day-to-day Human Resources operations while supporting employee lifecycle processes, compliance initiatives, payroll administration, and employee engagement. This role combines hands-on HR execution with strategic partnership, ensuring efficient HR processes and a positive employee experience across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, employee development, performance management support, engagement, and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity.
- Cook up recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and onboarding support.
- Partner with managers to provide guidance on performance management, employee relations, and HR policies.
- Conduct employee relations investigations and support disciplinary processes when required.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong emphasis on California labor regulations.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, compliance documentation, and required employee training records.
- Support HR, payroll, and benefits audits and reporting activities.
- Aid in payroll administration, compensation updates, and compliance with California wage and hour requirements.
- Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and HR programs.
- Maintain HR systems and generate reports to support HR decision-making and process improvements.
- Oversee office operations, including facilities, vendor coordination, office supplies, and equipment setup in partnership with IT.
- Cook up onboarding logistics, team meetings, employee engagement activities, and internal HR communications.
- Support initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, payroll, and office management.
- Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience with HRIS platforms; familiarity with Rippling, Paycor, and Microsoft 365/Teams is preferred.
- HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll administration, employee benefits, leave management, and employee relations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and customer-focused approach to Human Resources.
