About the role

This role contributes to HSC’s ongoing work and long-term success by supporting teams, processes, and priorities that keep operations running effectively. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated departments. They will form strong partnerships with management on human resource-related issues and serve as an employee champion and change agent. This position requires a general knowledge of human resources, including recruitment, coaching and development, employment law, employee relations, career growth, performance management, and compensation. The HRBP will partner with leadership and HR team members to positively influence organizational performance and drive HSC’s culture and values. This role is accountable for all aspects of department performance, including Safety & Environment, Quality, Reliability, Production, and Productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leadership to align HR strategy with business goals, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and change management.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner; conduct investigations and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Develop and implement effective HR policies and practices in collaboration with department and senior leadership to support business growth.
  • Partner with department leadership to develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Facilitate career development discussions and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; stay informed of changes in labor laws and recommend policy updates as needed.
  • Oversee the performance management process for specific departments, providing guidance and support to managers and employees to ensure fair and consistent application of practices.
  • Analyze and interpret various types of employee reports (e.g., compensation, job levels, attrition) to guide decision-making and provide proactive solutions to leadership.
  • Analyze and review compensation in relation to promotions and pay increases.
  • Provide support for talent management initiatives and back-up support to the HR Manager.
  • Conduct onboarding and offboarding sessions as necessary.
  • Participate in and/or lead Employee Resource Groups.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing and supporting a Production group is beneficial.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred, but not required.
  • SAP Success Factors experience preferred.
  • Green Belt certification preferred, but not required.

Pay

The range for this position is $83,415.00 - $114,695.90 (full-time status). Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including market demands, experience, training, and education.
