About the role
As a Human Resources Assistant with Jabil, you will assist the Human Resources Managers and Human Resources Generalists across the site. This role is based on-site at our Emira, NY facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide full support and assistance to the HR department when there is a requirement.
- Handle employee relations, including communication and interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Coach/consult with managers and employees on issues such as performance, terminations, sexual harassment, and discrimination.
- Organize and coordinate all calendar events, such as theme days, new hire orientation, safety shoe days, etc.
- Order supplies for Human Resources and Engagement.
- Coordinate and share Jabil Programs, including Jabil Cares Involvement, Respect, and Recognition Program.
- Coordinate Town Hall scheduling for the campus.
- Communicate and interpret all benefit changes and policies. Educate associates about their benefits and coordinate open enrollment periods. Research and resolve associates' benefit problems and questions.
- Participate in team projects addressing strategic initiatives as directed by the HR Manager.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor.
- Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Assist with daily/monthly reports and department documentation.
- Assist with the distribution of documentation to other groups.
- Use and understand any system the department utilizes.
- Ensure timely preparation of reports, filing, and distribution for the department.
- Maintain the filing system for all group documentation.
- Update flow charts, organization charts, and attendance records for the site.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 2+ years of experience in an administrative assistant background, either in HR and/or a manufacturing environment, or other similar environment.
Skills
- Exposure working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to be flexible with hours; some overtime may be required.
- Bilingual is a plus.

Pay
The hourly pay range for this role is $20.77 - $37.36. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
