About the role
As a Human Resources Assistant with Jabil, you will assist the Human Resources Managers and Human Resources Generalists across the site. This role is based on-site at our Florence, KY facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide full support and assistance to the HR department when there is a requirement.
- Employee relations – Responsible for communication and interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Coach/consult with managers and employees on issues including performance, terminations, sexual harassment, discrimination, etc.
- Put together and coordinate all calendar of events; for example: theme days, new hire orientation, safety shoe days, etc.
- Order supplies for Human Resources and Engagement.
- Coordinate and share any Jabil Programs, like Jabil Cares Involvement; Respect, and Recognition Program.
- Coordinate Town Hall scheduling for the campus.
- Benefits – Communicate and interpret all benefit changes and policies. Educate associates about their benefits and coordinate open enrollment periods. Research and resolve associates’ benefit problems and questions about employee activities/programs.
- Project Management – Participate in team projects that address strategic initiatives as directed by the HR Manager.
- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor.
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Assist with all daily/monthly reports.
- Assist with department documentation.
- Assist with the distribution of documentation to other groups.
- Understand and use any system the department uses.
- Ensure timely preparation of reports, filing, and distribution for the department.
- Maintain the filing system for all group documentation. Update all flow charts, organization charts, and attendance records for the site.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 2+ years of experience in an administrative assistant background, either in HR and/or a manufacturing environment; or other similar environment.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills are required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to be flexible with hours; some overtime may be required.
- Bilingual is a plus.
