About the Role
The Payroll Clerk/HR Support ensures accurate and timely payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees, provides administrative support for leave programs, and maintains essential employee records. This role also assists with onboarding, reporting, uniform management, and general HR administration to ensure smooth operations within the HR department.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
- Review, audit, and validate time and attendance data.
- Assist employees and supervisors with pay discrepancies and timekeeping inquiries.
- Maintain and monitor leave banks in accordance with company policies.
- Provide administrative support for FMLA, short-term disability, and related leave processes.
- Coordinate documentation, track leave usage, and assist employees with general leave questions.
- Complete system onboarding for new hires, including data entry and setup in SAP and payroll systems.
- Process system terminations and maintain accurate employee records.
- Build and maintain personnel files for employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with retention guidelines.
- Prepare and distribute Weekly and Bi-Monthly payroll/time reports.
- Complete Monthly Manpower Reporting and assist with additional reporting needs as assigned.
- Oversee and manage the service anniversary program, ensuring timely recognition.
- Manage the company uniform program, including ordering, inventory tracking, distribution, and employee uniform changes.
- Provide general administrative support, including filing, document organization, HR record maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in payroll, HR administration, or timekeeping systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Familiarity with FMLA/STD processes a plus.
