About the role
The Human Resources Generalist III supports designated geographic regions of the U.S. in a manufacturing environment, managing HR operations, policies, and programs.
Responsibilities
- Manages HR operations, administers policies, and ensures quick, equitable, and courteous resolution of HR issues.
- Facilitates communication between associates and managers, providing HR guidance and support.
- Onboards, offboards, recruits, manages leave cases, and handles employment status changes.
- Provides expert guidance and training on employment laws, HR policies, and procedures.
- Resolves employee relations issues and collaborates with business areas on compensation evaluations, promotions, and restructuring.
- Maintains accurate HR records and files, compiles data for reports, and conducts compliance requests.
- Participates in planning and implementing team and personal goals, and assists in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures.
- Assists in financial and operational administrative duties, such as purchasing and invoice management.
- Supports the First Solar recruitment process and prepares internal communications about compensation, benefits, and company policy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proven employee relations experience.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems (Oracle) preferred.
- Working knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field required.
- PREFERRED: PHR or SHRM-CP Certification.
