About the role
The fundamental responsibility of this position is to ensure a positive experience for all new and existing employees related to wellness, benefits, payroll, safety and policy administration and interpretation with an emphasis on education and improvement. This role will bring in the best talent to support ongoing business needs with a focus on non-exempt positions and supports the hiring of exempt level staffing.
Responsibilities
- Recruit exempt and non-exempt positions by advertising, sourcing, interviewing, extending offers and following up with internal and external candidates
- Tracks applicants and provides ongoing staffing support for exempt managerial positions
- Coordinates and improves the on boarding process and experience with new staff and department managers and completes new employee orientation process including policy review and collecting new hire information
- Enrolls and dis enrolls employees into benefit plans and coordinates enrollment of the 401k plan
- Maintains accurate insurance data and produces necessary reports
- Completes insurance related surveys and recommends updates or changes
- Administers, promotes and recommends employee wellness program with outside vendor(s) and internal committees
- Assists in a variety of compliance related programs, filings and reports
- Creates and/or reviews job descriptions for new positions or updates existing job descriptions
- Coordinates biweekly time cards and researches and processes a variety of payroll information
- Manages and maintains accuracy of data in HRIS system and produces customized and standard reports
- Resolves employees’ questions and issues related to benefits, payroll and policy interpretation and communicates directly with staff
Requirements
- Knowledge/Skill/Ability: Customer service, communication skills, problem-solving, math skills, and maintain strict confidentiality
- Above average computer skills – applicant tracking, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, HRIS system
- Able to learn and accept feedback, work cooperatively, and build rapport
- Presentation / facilitation skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Dependable and able to operate calmly under pressure
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or certification
- Minimum of 5 years’ job experience in Human Resources department preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 3 years’ job experience recruiting
- Prior experience working for a growing company and administration of compliance related reporting
- Strong customer service experience and excellent computer skills
