About the role
The fundamental responsibility of this position is to ensure a positive experience for all new and existing employees related to wellness, benefits, payroll, safety, and policy administration and interpretation with an emphasis on education and improvement. This role brings in the best talent to support ongoing business needs, with a focus on non-exempt positions, and supports the hiring of exempt-level staff. The position promotes TAPCO and career opportunities through various venues and creative vehicles to encourage ongoing candidate interest. It coordinates, supports, and continuously improves the administrative functions, data needs, and compliance of Human Resources. This role works professionally with all areas of the company and maintains confidentiality in all areas of responsibility. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities
- Recruit exempt and non-exempt positions by advertising, sourcing, interviewing, extending offers, and following up with internal and external candidates.
- Track applicants and provide ongoing staffing support for exempt managerial positions.
- Coordinate and improve the onboarding process and experience for new staff and department managers, including completing new employee orientation, policy review, and collecting new hire information.
- Enroll and disenroll employees into benefit plans and coordinate enrollment of the 401k plan.
- Maintain accurate insurance data and produce necessary reports.
- Complete insurance-related surveys and recommend updates or changes.
- Administer, promote, and recommend employee wellness programs with outside vendors and internal committees (e.g., Fun Committee).
- Assist in a variety of compliance-related programs, filings, and reports (e.g., EEO, ACA, OSHA, DOT, FMLA).
- Create and/or review job descriptions for new positions or update existing job descriptions.
- Coordinate biweekly timecards and research and process a variety of payroll information such as garnishments, wage adjustments, and time off.
