About the role

We are seeking a proactive, resourceful, and versatile HR Generalist to support core HR functions across our organization. In this role, you will drive full-cycle recruitment, manage leave administration, maintain policy compliance, and champion employee engagement. If you are a collaborative HR professional who enjoys balancing talent acquisition, policy governance, and operational support, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Program Oversight
    • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Lead the full recruitment cycle, managing our Applicant Tracking System and postings across platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn.
    • Onboarding & Prescreening: Conduct new hire prescreening, including background checks, I-9 verification, and reference checks.
    • Internship Program: Direct and oversee the Trademark Internship Program to engage and develop early-career talent.
  • Employee Relations & Policy Governance
    • Employment Inquiries: Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors with professionalism, escalating complex matters to the HR Manager or VP of HR as needed.
    • Policy & Compliance: Create, revise, and review HR policies and procedures to maintain alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices.
    • Industry Knowledge: Stay current on HR trends, new technologies, regulatory updates, and talent management practices.
  • Operations & Leave Administration
    • Leave Management: Manage the comprehensive leave administration process, including FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and personal leave.
    • Backup Operations: Serve as a reliable primary backup for payroll processing and benefits administration.
    • Departmental Support: Perform other HR operations and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience
    • Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Proven Tenure: At least 3 years of hands-on HR Generalist experience.
    • Certification: SHRM-CP or PHR credential is a plus.

    • Communication & Interpersonal: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust across all levels.
    • Integrity & Confidentiality: High degree of professionalism, sound judgment, and commitment to confidentiality.
    • Compliance & Problem Solving: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
