About the role

The Human Resource Generalist will help run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department at Jet Industries, Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs such as compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Tracks employee reviews as they are returned to the Human Resources Department.
  • Processes and handles unemployment claims and employment verifications.
  • Assists with onboarding and benefit setup alongside the Administrative Assistant in the Human Resources Department.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.
  • Processes required paperwork for new hires, employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, offboarding, and other related employment matters.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
