Human Performance Data Scientist I

About the role

The Human Performance (HP) Data Scientist I supports the program by conducting basic data entry, data cleaning, and performance analysis that directly contributes to the readiness and resilience of Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel.

Responsibilities

• Enter, clean, and prepare HP data collected through program initiatives.
• Work with program staff and the Government biostatistician to build and maintain databases and spreadsheets capturing performance metrics, wellness indicators, and program participation information.
• Aid in identifying opportunities for meaningful human performance data collection by collaborating with strength coaches, dietitians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, psychologists, and cognitive enhancement specialists.
• Support the preparation of basic reports and presentations communicating trends, participation metrics, and readiness insights for program leadership.
• Use government systems to manage and analyze human performance data.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in quantitative science, social science or related discipline.

Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, basic proficiency with statistical software applications like SPSS, SAS, or R, excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and organized.

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $72,877 - $98,599.
