About the role

Responsibilities
- Develop and participate in machine learning and data analysis driven projects supporting the underwriting function.
- Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify and define business requirements and ensure alignment with data science objectives.
- Design and complete experiments to validate and optimize machine learning models, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Collaborate with data engineers and ML engineers to integrate data science solutions into existing systems and workflows.
- Communicate sophisticated technical concepts and findings to technical and non-technical partners to ensure clear understanding and agreement.
- Conduct peer reviews and participate in model and code reviews.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 2 years of data analysis experience.
- Experience using programming languages including Python or R.
- Statistical testing and modeling experience.
- Machine learning principles and techniques experience.
- Data visualization tools or libraries experience.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid from Boston Office (3 days from office, 2 days from home).

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Salary range is expected to be between $90,160.00 USD - $167,440.00 USD.
