HUMAN MILK/FORMULA SPECIALIST

About the Role

Morrison Healthcare has several openings for full and part-time Human Milk/Formula Specialist positions at Cleveland Clinic, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44195. Under the direction of the Patient Services Manager and/or Clinical Nutrition Manager, the role is responsible for patient menu management, data collection, and diet office functions, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and collect menus.
• Assist patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diet, as assigned by dietitian.
• Offer alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies or sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences when patient inquires or needs additional selections.
• Plan regular and modified menus based on current diet manual.
• Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in an accurate and timely manner.
• May be responsible for the preparation, distribution, inventory and management of human/donor milk and/or infant formula.
• Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient's rights policies.
• Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state and TJC.
• Complete all required documentation, reports and logs.
• Follow facility and department infection-control policies and procedures.
• Participate in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Program and on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes and patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Hospital experience preferred.
• Experience with adult and pediatric formulas.
• Upon completion of technician courses, rate will increase to $22 an hour.

Schedule

Shifts will vary and include some evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Must be able to work between 7am–6pm. Shift length ranges from 4–8 hours. More details upon interview.

Pay

$17.00 per hour to $22.00 per hour.
