HSSP Senior Clinician - San Fernando Valley

About the role

The Housing Supportive Services Program (HSSP) is a specialized program providing comprehensive and intensive community mental health services to individuals in Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) with Severe Mental Illness (SMI) or Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED).

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, and implement mental health and recovery support services with individual members.
• Conduct individual, family and group psychotherapy.
• Develop effective, trusting relationships with members, focusing on independence and improved health.
• Collaborate with members to develop and update their service plans.
• Aid in program evaluation and modification for future improvements.
• Assist members in daily activities, socialization, health maintenance, and recovery.
• Work cooperatively with the HSSP team, including attending staff meetings, clinical supervision, and trainings.
• Maintain accurate and updated member files with all necessary documentation.
• Become LPS Designated with the Department of Mental Health for Los Angeles County.
• Participate in crisis interventions as needed, including being on the rotation for the After Hours Emergency Line and the Mental Health Department After Hours Calendar.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Valid registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
• At least 1000 clinical hours accrued towards licensure.
• Current, valid California Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle.
• Able to transport members in your personal vehicle.
• Outstanding clinical and strong team-building skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, and computer skills.
