Senior Clinician
Job Objective
We are seeking a highly skilled PharmD professional with a strong foundation in public health to support our work in surveillance, research, and public health initiatives related to adverse maternal, infant, and child health outcomes. The ideal candidate will combine pharmaceutical expertise with the ability to synthesize, analyze, and interpret complex medication and substance use data to inform public health practices and policies. This role requires someone capable of quickly advancing their public health knowledge while taking initiative to develop proposals, resources, and guidelines critical to our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on medication and substance use data derived from diverse sources to inform public health research and practice.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive lists of RXNorm codes related to specific medications and substances, including benzodiazepines and naloxone, using reference documents and publicly available resources.
- Critically evaluate medication schemas to identify limitations, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop detailed concept proposals on topics such as opioid use disorder dosing and frequency, starting with analytic questions and building structured proposals using concept proposal templates.
- Guide the team in understanding the process of transforming analytic questions into actionable research plans.
- Create and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for medication-related data analysis and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
- Contribute to data-driven projects by reviewing and synthesizing relevant materials and providing actionable feedback.
- Actively participate in meetings, offering expert insights and recommendations on medication and substance use data.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, fellows, and students to produce high-quality deliverables.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to optimize workflows and improve understanding of medication data in a public health context.
