About the role
As a CBRE Health, Safety and Environment Manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs for small to medium-sized clients. This role is part of the Environment Health and Safety function, focusing on organizational programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.
Responsibilities
- Promote a positive and proactive culture to influence stakeholders and ensure compliance.
- Assist with implementing and reviewing playbooks and procedures.
- Ensure Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives drive program consistency and efficiency.
- Manage initiatives to meet regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements.
- Track operational and safety risks and develop strategic risk management strategies to avoid potential incidents.
- Monitor injury, illness, and incident reports and provide recommendations on risk prevention.
- Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory compliance within the account and work with management to create strategic solutions for maintaining compliance.
- Work with stakeholders to identify potential concerns and communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible functional managers.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Influence parties of shared interests to reach agreements.
- Apply knowledge of your discipline and how it integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues, whether evident in existing systems and processes or not.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Additional certifications as required by the local authority.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
Pay
The minimum salary for the HSE Manager position is $100,000 annually, and the maximum salary is $143,000 annually. The compensation offered will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
