Responsibilities
- Safety & Health: Support and administer facility health and safety programs, conduct inspections, audits, and hazard assessments, assist with incident investigations, and promote a proactive safety culture.
- Environmental Compliance: Maintain compliance with environmental regulations, support inspections, audits, and permit compliance activities, and participate in incident investigations.
- Training & Employee Development: Coordinate new hire safety orientation, track and maintain employee safety training records, and assist in developing training materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in risk assessments, safety improvement projects, and help drive a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of safety, environmental, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA/MIOSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
- Understanding of environmental compliance requirements is preferred.
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with training coordination and recordkeeping systems preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access production areas.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing environments.
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Environmental compliance training or certifications.
