Responsibilities

  • Safety & Health: Support and administer facility health and safety programs, conduct inspections, audits, and hazard assessments, assist with incident investigations, and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Environmental Compliance: Maintain compliance with environmental regulations, support inspections, audits, and permit compliance activities, and participate in incident investigations.
  • Training & Employee Development: Coordinate new hire safety orientation, track and maintain employee safety training records, and assist in developing training materials.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in risk assessments, safety improvement projects, and help drive a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of safety, environmental, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/MIOSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
  • Understanding of environmental compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Experience conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with training coordination and recordkeeping systems preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access production areas.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing environments.

Preferred Certifications

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification.
  • Environmental compliance training or certifications.
