Essential Functions
- Affiliate with community health providers for referral and recruitment of Early Head Start children.
- Review child health paperwork, conduct sensory/growth screenings, facilitate referrals and treatment for children with health concerns, support appropriate health education, and follow-up for all enrolled families.
- As appropriate, coordinate health reviews, consultations, and referrals with staff, consultants, or special services providers, and families.
- Train new and existing birth to three staff in age-appropriate health education, practices, and procedures.
- Collaborate with Home Visitors to support families in completing health screenings, accessing care, and navigating referrals.
- Travel to various sites and conduct home visits to perform hearing, vision, and other necessary assessments.
- Enter health screening information into the data system promptly and analyze data to identify and enact program improvements.
- Prepare and submit required reports such as immunizations, program information reports (PIR), Monitoring audits, and health status reports with recommendations for follow-up or training.
- Document referrals for health care providers and follow-up care; establish referrals for care.
- Collaborate with the health program by identifying and implementing improvement strategies and educating fellow DLEC team members on best practices.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work with birth to three staff to understand and apply content relevant to health screening and health education as needed.
- Maintain and oversee health screening equipment and necessary forms.
- May train and mentor interns, and/or provide supervision of Health Assistants.

$28.89 - $33.18/hourly, DOE
