Safety Coordinator

Ameritex Machine and Fabrication is a high mix, quick turn, and ISO 9001 2015 certified sheet metal and structural fabrication facility located in Conroe, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the facility to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees to ensure understanding and compliance with safety protocols.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventative measures.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
• Collaborate with management to promote a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to workplace safety.
• Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
