About the role
We are seeking an experienced HRIS Project Coordinator for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a nonprofit organization in Chicago, Illinois. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy professional with Dayforce experience, strong HRIS knowledge, and a service-focused mindset. The HRIS Project Coordinator will support an active Dayforce implementation by assisting with reporting, documentation, project coordination, and cross-functional communication to help keep the project on track for a successful go-live.
Responsibilities
- Support the ongoing Dayforce implementation by assisting with system documentation, process tracking, and project coordination.
- Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and document updates, action items, and system-related workflows.
- Build, update, and organize reports within Dayforce to support implementation and operational needs.
- Assign and track project tasks within the organization's project management system, ClickUp.
- Partner with HR and internal teams on data validation, workflow tracking, and implementation support leading up to go-live.
- Provide onsite collaboration with the team at least 1–2 days per week.
- Perform other duties as needed in support of the HRIS and implementation team.
Requirements
- Experience with Dayforce, ideally from a management, project, or administrative perspective rather than only end-user navigation.
- Strong HRIS knowledge and comfort working with systems, reporting, and implementation support.
- Ability to manage documentation, meetings, reporting, and project coordination tasks independently.
- Experience using project management tools such as ClickUp or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Service-oriented mindset; experience supporting a nonprofit environment is a plus.
