Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll modules; serve as the primary functional and technical expert for these domains, while providing backup support for Benefits and Compensation module administration.
- Design and configure multi-step business processes, including leave plans, time tracking rules, and payroll-related configurations, and lead end-to-end testing cycles, confirming downstream impacts with stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Workday configuration, calculation, and reporting issues by designing durable fixes and evaluating cross-system impacts using systems thinking.
- Ensure data accuracy and system integrity across Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll, including audits and reconciliation with Payroll; lead audit data work and implement data quality improvements.
- Write, maintain, and support standard and custom Workday reports and dashboards; ensure system outputs comply with controls and proactively surface insights to stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configuration workbooks, test results, and help guides across all assigned modules.
- Review, assess, and recommend improvements to HRIS workflows, user experience, and system processes; design scalable solutions that reduce manual effort and drive operational efficiency.
- Design and implement multi-step automations that streamline HR workflows; integrate AI-enabled tools to improve accuracy and delivery speed.
- Develop and maintain end-user procedures, guidelines, training materials, and documentation; own training design and delivery for system updates and platform change readiness.
- Lead requirements definition and solution validation with HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders; serve as a trusted advisor recommending system improvements grounded in user feedback and business needs.
- Lead project workstreams for Workday module implementations and enhancements, aligning system decisions to project goals and driving cross-functional alignment.
- Facilitate strong business partnerships with internal stakeholders, keeping all relevant parties informed, enabling meaningful feedback loops, and representing the HR Technology team with excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HRIS experience with a strong focus on Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll module configuration and administration.
- Strong understanding of HCM design, structure, functions, and processes, including business process workflows, advanced reporting capabilities, and overall system compliance.
- Working knowledge of the following HR business domains: Absence Management, Time Tracking, and Payroll.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and effective communicator capable of translating complex technical configurations into clear guidance for HR and business stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a strong desire to seek optimal solutions, share discoveries with colleagues, and drive exceptional results.
- Excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm for developing strong partnerships with internal users and leadership.
- Experience with management of SOX/internal compliance audits preferred.
- Experience with Workday Benefits and Compensation modules is a plus, as this role will provide backup support for those functions.
- Experience supporting global Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll programs across multiple countries and diverse employee populations preferred.
- Experience working on HRIS or HR Operations teams in a global company, including supporting system configuration and end-user training across geographies preferred.
- Familiarity with HR technology integrations, including payroll, benefits carrier feeds, and third-party systems preferred.
