HR Transformation Executive Consultant
About the role
We are seeking an accomplished HR Transformation Executive to build, lead, and expand our HR Transformation Consulting practice. This executive will serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and CHROs, helping organizations transform their Human Resources functions into strategic, data-driven business partners.
Responsibilities
Practice Leadership: Build and lead a national HR Transformation Consulting practice. Develop consulting methodologies, assessment frameworks, implementation tools, and intellectual property. Establish standardized HR maturity models, benchmarking tools, and best practice libraries. Build and mentor a high-performing team of HR consultants and transformation leaders. Define service offerings and delivery methodologies. Establish quality standards and project governance across all engagements. Drive innovation through AI, automation, workforce analytics, and digital HR technologies.
Client Advisory: Serve as executive advisor to CHROs, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and executive leadership teams on: HR operating model design, HR organizational effectiveness, Shared Services strategy, Centers of Excellence design, HR Business Partner model optimization, Total Rewards optimization, HR compliance and risk management, Employee experience strategy, Organizational design, Change management, Workforce productivity, HR service delivery optimization, HR Assessments & Organizational Reviews, HR Technology Consulting, Transformation Program Leadership, People Leadership.
Transformation Program Leadership: Oversee complex enterprise transformation initiatives including: Current-state assessments, Future-state operating model design, Executive strategy sessions, Transformation roadmaps, Business case development, Implementation planning, PMO oversight, Executive steering committees, Change management strategies, Communications planning, Adoption strategies, Organizational readiness, Benefits realization tracking, Business Development, People Leadership.
Key Client Relationships: Develop executive-level client relationships. Identify new consulting opportunities within existing accounts. Lead proposal development and client presentations. Present at executive forums and industry conferences. Develop thought leadership publications. Partner with sales and executive leadership to grow consulting revenue. Build strategic alliances with HR technology vendors. Participate in executive networking and business development activities.
Qualifications
Required Experience: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. MBA, Master's in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related discipline preferred. 15+ years of progressive HR consulting and executive leadership experience. 10+ years leading enterprise HR transformation programs. Previous leadership experience with a Big Four consulting firm. Significant healthcare industry consulting experience. Experience leading large-scale HR transformation engagements. Experience managing consulting teams across multiple concurrent projects. Experience presenting to executive leadership and Boards. Strong business development and consulting sales experience. Experience managing multi-million-dollar consulting engagements.
Preferred Certifications: Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP or SPHR), Change management certification (e.g., Prosci), Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma certification, HR technology certifications in leading HCM platforms.
