HR Talent Coordinator
About the role
The HR Talent Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for the Marco's Human Resources team, providing support across recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and day-to-day HR operations. This role plays an important part in creating a positive candidate and employee experience by helping keep hiring and onboarding processes organized, timely, and consistent. The HR Talent Coordinator partners closely with hiring managers, Talent Acquisition, HR, and other departments while maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance requirements, and representing Marco's culture throughout the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers and the Talent Acquisition team to understand position requirements and develop appropriate candidate screening criteria.
- Review resumes, coordinate interviews, and conduct candidate pre-screens as needed to assess qualifications, experience, and alignment with organizational needs and culture.
- Assist in developing and maintaining pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates by coordinating interviews, providing timely updates, and responding to questions throughout the hiring process.
- Represent Marco's culture and values throughout candidate interactions and help deliver a positive, consistent candidate experience.
- Provide hiring managers and HR leadership with regular updates on recruiting activity and progress.
- Maintain accurate and current candidate information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Track recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, candidate experience, and onboarding effectiveness, using ATS reporting and analytics.
- Monitor background check statuses and assist with follow-up as needed.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process.
- Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure required documentation, equipment, resources, and other first-day needs are prepared prior to an employee's start date.
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions to introduce employees to company policies, processes, resources, and culture.
- Partner across HR and other departments to provide a smooth transition from candidate to new employee.
- Respond to routine employee and manager questions regarding company policies, basic benefits information, hiring processes, and other HR-related topics, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team member.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and process employee changes and documentation in a timely manner.
- Protect confidential and sensitive employee information and ensure records are maintained securely.
- Support the HR team with employee education and consistent application of company policies.
- Assist with HR audits and required reporting, including I-9 audits, EEO-1 reporting, payroll audits, and other compliance-related activities.
- Conduct periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure required documentation is complete, accurate, and appropriately maintained.
- Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned based on the needs of the business.

- Strong customer-service mindset with an interest in creating a positive candidate and employee experience.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of an HR team.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in recruiting, Human Resources, administrative support, or a related function preferred.
- Experience working with an ATS and/or HRIS preferred.
