HR Operations, Contractor

About the role
The HR Operations Contractor will primarily manage and respond to the HR mailbox, providing timely, accurate, and professional support to employees and internal stakeholders. This role will also maintain HR documentation, support onboarding and offboarding activities, assist with streamlined HR procedures, manage internal systems, and serve as a backup to the HR Operations Specialist as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and process-focused, with strong communication and customer service skills. A commitment to service excellence and HR best practices is essential.
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, professional responses to employee inquiries received through the HR mailbox, offering clear guidance on HR processes, policies, and systems while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Support HR systems and SharePoint administration, ensuring functionality, data accuracy, and a positive user experience.
- Maintain accurate, current HR records, files, and documentation in line with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as backup to the HR Operations Specialist by supporting New Hire Orientation and HR operational tasks during absences or peak workload periods.
- Assist with reviewing and improving HR processes to streamline operations while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
- Handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality and discretion in accordance with company policies and data protection requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- A minimum of one year of relevant HR experience is preferred.
- Workday experience is ideal, along with experience in a professional, fast-paced HR environment, cross-functional collaboration, and support for multi-site operations.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive company and employee information.
- Ability to work efficiently across multiple computer applications.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
- Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact tactfully with employees, executives, and other stakeholders.
- Language(s): English.
