HR- Onboarding Experience Specialist

What You’ll Do

  • Delivers a superb candidate experience that begins with the initial phone call all the way through delivering onboarding
  • Creates, compiles, or designs services and events that communicate the organization’s information, services aligned by mission; builds and manages employer branding and visibility to external candidates
  • Implements recruitment processes related to the recruitment cycle, vacancy announcement, screening, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, and informing employees of their hiring status
  • Career fairs and other Talent Acquisition activities, as necessary
  • Supports the onboarding process for new hires, transfers and temporary staff
  • Competes new hire paperwork and background checks
  • Creates new employee files and ensures paperwork is complete and in compliance
  • Enter employee information/changes in ADP Workforce Now
  • Performs file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained
  • Affords assistance to employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
  • Records employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason in HRIS System
  • Supports coordination of the new hire process (schedule appointments, process paperwork, identity and verify credentials, ID card creation, fingerprint scheduling)
  • Affords assistance with performing employee background checks including but not limited to: Fingerprinting appointments, Statewide Central Registry Checks, Sex Offender Registry Checks, SEL, Streamline Verify, and SSN Works
  • Integrally works with associated teams to create, manage, coordinate and deliver New Hire Orientation training (globally) to internal and external partners and customers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience as an HR Assistant plus 1 year of experience in Recruiting
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment, including ability to balance priorities and meet important deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred

Pay

This position has potential for a hybrid work schedule with office days in our corporate headquarters in New York City.
