HR Master Data Specialist

About the Role

The HR Master Data Specialist is responsible for the daily execution, continuous maintenance, and ongoing integrity of Amrize’s HR master data within core HR systems (SuccessFactors and SAP). Reporting to the HR Master Data Manager, this role ensures frontline data entry adheres strictly to established governance standards while evaluating and validating HR‑initiated changes. The specialist reviews, analyzes, completes, and releases transactional and organizational data modifications, facilitates mass data changes, conducts user acceptance testing, performs routine data quality audits, supports regulatory compliance, and serves as the primary frontline support for HR data inquiries across the organization.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Act as the ultimate gatekeeper of data accuracy, analyzing change requests and completing updates in HR data systems.
• Train and maintain ongoing instruction for field HR, ensuring alignment of transactions with best practices and consistency across North America; create and maintain work instructions and manage change communication initiatives.
• Run routine audits across SuccessFactors and SAP to identify and resolve inconsistencies, ensuring downstream data to Payroll and Finance remains accurate.
• Handle daily org‑structure updates and execute mass data uploads during reorganizations, business‑cycle updates, or major mergers and acquisitions.
• Maintain an audit‑ready environment for internal and external audits, extract critical data for North American compliance reporting, and partner with the HRIS team to test system upgrades.
• Serve as the frontline data partner, coaching HR, Payroll, and Finance teams, updating SOPs and definitions, and training users on best practices.
• Demonstrate commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a culture of safety.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or Information Systems preferred.
• Work Experience: 3–5 years in HR system administration, data entry facilitation, or HR shared services.
• Training/Certifications: Hands‑on experience with SAP SuccessFactors (highly preferred); familiarity with SAP ECC HCM is an asset.
• Technical Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables); exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Travel Requirements: Up to 5% travel.
• Competencies: Strong customer‑service mindset; ability to explain system workflows to non‑technical users; high discretion with sensitive employee data.
• Industry Experience: Experience supporting HR operations in manufacturing, construction, building materials, or related industrial sectors is highly preferred.
• Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with data‑privacy regulations such as PIPEDA and state‑level privacy laws.
• Meticulous Eye for Detail: Relentless commitment to data integrity and accuracy.
• Task Management: Ability to manage a high‑volume transactional queue while executing analytical data projects.
• Communication: Ability to translate technical system requirements into simple, actionable guidance for non‑technical HR users.
• Discretion: High degree of integrity when handling confidential employee information.
• Safety Requirements: Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize‑approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirator fit‑test requirements where applicable.
