About the role
A well-established facilities services organization is seeking a Temporary HR Data Specialist to support its Human Resources team with employee data, HR systems, reporting, audits, and payroll/timekeeping coordination. This is a highly data-driven HR role that would be a strong fit for someone coming from either HR/HRIS administration with strong Excel skills or a data/reporting background with an interest in HR operations. The position involves working with large volumes of employee information and requires excellent accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee information across HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, and related internal systems.
- Process employee changes, new-hire information, offboarding records, schedule updates, rate changes, classifications, and other HR data.
- Audit employee records and system information to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Review, compare, manipulate, and reconcile large data sets using Excel.
- Support HR reporting and analyze employee, staffing, timekeeping, and labor-related data.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and Operations teams to research and resolve data or system issues.
- Assist with weekly payroll and timekeeping reviews, including researching missing or incorrect hours.
- Support maintenance of union employee information and related payroll notifications.
- Help improve HR data processes, reporting accuracy, and overall system efficiency.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding administration as needed.
Requirements
- Approximately 2+ years of experience in HR administration, HRIS, staffing, payroll, reporting, data analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong Excel skills are required, including comfort working with large data sets.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in employee data.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, or workforce management systems is preferred.
- Payroll, union, staffing, or employee-data audit experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with HR, Payroll, and Operations.
Pay
$25-$30/hour
