About the role
A growing, multi-site distribution organization is seeking an experienced HR Manager to build and lead the Human Resources function across multiple facilities in Georgia and South Carolina. This is a rare opportunity to partner directly with executive leadership and create the HR infrastructure for an organization with approximately 800 employees.
What You'll Do
- Build and lead the HR function from the ground up
- Serve as the primary HR resource for approximately 800 employees across multiple locations
- Partner directly with executive leadership on people strategy and organizational growth
- Develop HR policies, procedures, and employee programs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Lead employee relations, investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Oversee workers' compensation, leave administration, and benefits-related processes
- Create onboarding, communication, and employee engagement initiatives
- Create scalable HR systems that support continued company growth
- Travel quarterly to facilities throughout Georgia and South Carolina
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing or industrial operations (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
- Proven ability to build HR processes, policies, and organizational structure
- Experience handling sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter who thrives with autonomy and enjoys creating solutions
