About the role

The Associate HR System Product Lead – Learning Technology delivers operational excellence and functional support within the HR Systems team, with a focus on the technology that powers Learning & Development at Gartner. The learning technology landscape spans Cornerstone OnDemand, Degreed, AI-powered practice tools, and a variety of role-specific learning platforms supporting a decentralized L&D community. This role supports today's portfolio while helping shape future consolidation and simplification. It partners closely with the HR Learning Solutions team, L&D program owners, and business stakeholders to administer learning platforms, resolve issues, and deliver enhancements that improve the learner and administrator experience.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in HR or learning technology, strong analytical skills, and a genuine curiosity for how technology can elevate learning and growth. Adaptability and quick learning are key, as the role spans multiple evolving platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and configure learning platforms, including learning objects, content structures, curricula, assignment logic, events, notifications, evaluations, security roles, and system updates.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and embedded learning administrators to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and recommend system enhancements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for learning technology inquiries, triaging help desk escalations, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with vendors and IT for resolution.
  • Perform quality control across the portfolio, including data integrity audits, mass data loads, and gatekeeping of system standards.
  • Write test plans and conduct testing for enhancements, new course rollouts, and quarterly platform releases, coordinating UAT with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Build and analyze reports on usage, adoption, compliance, and program health, turning data into actionable recommendations.
  • Document processes, system configurations, and user guides; develop knowledge management collateral to support training and onboarding.
  • Educate stakeholders and administrators on the proper use of learning platforms to encourage adoption and increase utilization.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in HR technology, learning technology, business analysis, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience administering or supporting a modern SaaS learning or HR platform such as Cornerstone OnDemand, Degreed, or Workday.
  • Working knowledge of learning technology fundamentals: e-learning content standards (SCORM/AICC/xAPI), content management, curricula and assignment logic, notifications, and security/role-based permissions.
  • Experience building and interpreting reports, with solid Excel proficiency.
  • Strong requirements gathering skills—able to translate business needs into practical system solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new applications, software, and tools.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with how learning systems connect to the broader ecosystem—SSO, data feeds, content provider integrations.
  • Experience with mass data load tools or LMS audits at scale.
  • Exposure to courseware development tools (Articulate, Camtasia, iSpring) or visualization tools such as Power BI.

Who You Are

  • Professionally curious: You enjoy learning new tools, exploring how things work, and staying current with learning and HR technology trends, including AI.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity: Evolving priorities and a technology roadmap still taking shape energize you.
  • Accountable: You take ownership of your work and follow through to results.
  • Teachable: You embrace feedback and best practices as a means of continuous improvement.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation.
  • 20+ PTO days plus holidays and floating holidays in your first year.
  • Extensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • 401K with corporate match, immediate vesting (up to $7,200 per year).
  • Opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount.
  • Health-and-wellness-related allowance programs.
  • Parental leave.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Gartner Gives Charity Match.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $72,000–$100,000 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
